Machinist, Valenzuela

• Operate lathe (torno) machines, and other machining equipment such as milling machines, grinders, and drills.
• Fabricate, repair, and recondition machine parts based on drawings, samples, or instructions.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and measurements.
• Select appropriate tools, cutting speeds, and materials for machining operations.
• Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools.
• Conduct routine machine inspection, cleaning, and basic preventive maintenance.
• Ensure finished parts meet dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
• Follow safety procedures, proper tool handling, and housekeeping standards.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Production, or Engineering teams regarding repair requirements.
• Maintain basic records of work completed, materials used, and machine conditions.
• Perform other machining or maintenance-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or Vocational/Technical graduate (Machining, Mechanical, or related course).
• TESDA certification in Machining / Lathe Operation is an advantage.
• At least 13 years of experience as a machinist or tornero in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Experience in manual lathe operation; CNC experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of metal properties, cutting tools, and machining processes.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
