Job Summary:

The Purchasing Assistant will support the procurement team by managing supplier relationships, negotiating pricing, and ensuring the timely delivery of materials. This role requires strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Negotiate and haggle prices with suppliers to secure the best deals.
• Aggressively pursue discounts and credit terms from suppliers.
• Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Prepare and process purchase orders and maintain accurate procurement records.
• Monitor inventory levels to determine purchasing needs.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any issues related to shipments.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
• Assist in evaluating supplier performance and maintaining supplier databases.
