Role Description The Unit Manager is a part-time, remote role responsible for leading and developing a team of financial advisors to achieve sales and service goals. On a day-to-day basis, the Unit Manager will recruit, onboard, and coach advisors, monitor their performance, and provide regular feedback and mentoring. The role includes organizing virtual training sessions, supporting advisors in client prospecting, and guiding them in presenting insurance and investment solutions that fit client needs. The Unit Manager will track unit targets, prepare simple performance reports, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This role also collaborates with senior leaders to implement business plans, promote a positive team culture, and uphold Sun Life Grepas standards of ethical and client-focused service.

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership and people management skills, including coaching, mentoring, and team motivation.
  • Strong sales, business development, and client relationship management capabilities, ideally in financial services, insurance, or related fields.
  • Solid communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly in virtual and in-person settings.
  • Good organizational, planning, and time management abilities, including setting priorities, tracking targets, and managing multiple tasks remotely.
  • Comfort with digital tools and remote work platforms (e.g., video conferencing, CRM systems, online collaboration tools).
  • Experience in life insurance, banking, investments, or financial planning is highly advantageous.
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Ethical, client-focused mindset with a commitment to regulatory compliance and continuous professional development.
