AEB have completed numerous commercial, residential, civic, institutional, educational and historic preservation projects for a variety of public and private clients throughout Qatar, Abu Dhabi, Oman, Kuwait, Egypt, Yemen, and Sudan.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and Review of the complete Firefighting System Design in coordination with Fire & Life Safety and other active firefighting system.
• Design and Review Water based and Foam-Water based Fire Fighting Systems Design Drawings i.e. Sprinkler System, Water Spray systems, Foam-water based Water Spray systems, etc.
• Design and Review non-water-based Fire Extinguishing Systems Design Drawings i.e. NOVEC 1230 Fire Extinguishing System, etc.
• Design and Review Air-Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation Systems (ACMV Systems).
• Carry out Design & Drafting works for the above systems as and when required.
• Carry out Calculations and prepare reports along with required isometric drawings. Proficiency in using Elite software for hydraulic calculations is required.
• Inspect buildings or building designs to prepare as-built drawings for the above systems if required.
• Address the Qatar Civil Defense Comments on the Submittals for Fire Fighting ACMV and associated systems.
• Prepare and update a Checklist to avoid repetitive comments from the Qatar Civil Defense.
• Consult with Fire & Life Safety Engineers to discuss safety regulations and to recommend changes as necessary.
• Upload and Keep a track sheet of the submittals made to the Qatar Civil Defense.
• Update the track sheet on daily basis on the basis on notification on the QCD website.
• Chase up with the concerned personnel in order to expedite the approvals.
• Notify the Director/Head of Fire and Life Safety Section about the approvals, comments, etc. received from the Qatar Civil Defense.
• Prepare customized Design Manual for Fire Fighting and associated systems.
• Update the Design manual time-to-time to keep up with the Latest NFPA standards and Qatar Civil Defense Requirements.
• Prepare CAD Symbols library and update the same time-to-time.
• Evaluate NFPA Codes and Standards and Qatar Civil Defense Requirements.
• Assist Fire and Life Safety Engineer to develop training materials, and conduct training sessions on fire protection.
• Undergo training of REVIT in order to migrate from AutoCAD to REVIT.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 5+ years of total experience
• Advanced proficiency in HVAC systems design and calculations
