Sales and Business Development Officer s mainly responsible for finding new clients, growing business opportunities, and promoting the companys trade technology solutions to governments, customs agencies, ports, and private sector organizations. Webb Fontaine specializes in digital systems for customs, trade facilitation, ports, and border management.
This role helps the company win projects and partnerships by selling technology that makes import/export and customs processes faster and more efficient.
- Identify new business opportunities in government and trade sectors
- Build relationships with clients, decision-makers, and stakeholders
- Present Webb Fontaine solutions (customs systems, single window, AI trade tools, port systems)
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and tenders/bids
- Negotiate contracts and close deals
- Coordinate with technical and project teams during pre-sales and post-sales stages
- Monitor market trends, competitors, and industry opportunities
- Attend meetings, conferences, and networking events
Skills Usually Needed:
- Strong sales and negotiation skills
- Business development / account management experience
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Knowledge of government bidding or B2B sales is a plus
- Understanding of logistics, customs, trade, or IT solutions is valuable
