General Accounting Supervisor, Makati

The General Accounting Supervisor oversees daily accounting operations, ensures compliance with financial regulations, and leads the accounting team to maintain accurate financial reporting. This role requires strong leadership, technical accounting expertise, and a solid understanding of regulatory compliance.

• Supervise and manage the accounting team, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in daily operations
• Oversee general accounting functions including AP, AR, GL, and reconciliations
• Review financial statements, reports, and journal entries for accuracy and compliance
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, company policies, and audit standards
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of findings
• Develop and improve accounting processes and internal controls
• Provide guidance, coaching, and performance management for team members
• Collaborate with management on financial planning and reporting
• Ensure compliance with insurance industry regulations (if applicable)
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance standards
• Proven leadership and people management skills
• High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with accounting systems and advanced Excel skills
• Minimum of 35 years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 12 years in a supervisory role
• Experience in the insurance industry is a strong advantage
• Bachelors degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field
