Job Summary:

The HR Generalist will support day-to-day human resources operations in a fast-paced food industry environment, ensuring compliance with labor laws, maintaining positive employee relations, and supporting workforce needs across production, operations, and retail teams. This role plays a key part in fostering a productive, safe, and compliant workplace while aligning HR practices with business goals in food service/production settings.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance on company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with labor laws and food safety standards
  • Stay updated on employment laws and ensure HR practices follow legal and industry requirements
  • Manage employee benefits, including enrollments, updates, and basic employee orientation on benefits
  • Serve as the main point of contact for HR-related concerns across stores, kitchens, or production sites
  • Support payroll processing, including attendance, timekeeping, and government-mandated deductions
  • Prepare and share internal communications related to policies, updates, and employee information
  • Handle onboarding and orientation, ensuring new hires understand company policies and food safety practices
  • Assist in recruitment and hiring for operational roles such as kitchen staff, service crew, and supervisors
  • Monitor employee performance, engagement, and workplace culture in a fast-paced environment
  • Identify staffing needs based on operations and business demands
  • Handle employee relations concerns and support investigations and disciplinary actions when needed
  • Maintain accurate and updated employee records
  • Conduct exit interviews and recommend improvements for employee retention
  • Perform fieldwork, including visits to branches or work sites, to support HR operations and ensure consistency


Job Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 35 years of HR experience, preferably in the food, retail, hospitality, or manufacturing industry
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, operationally driven environment
  • Familiarity with food industry regulations (e.g., food safety compliance, sanitation standards, occupational health and safety) is an advantage
  • Experience handling end-to-end recruitment, especially for frontline roles (e.g., service crew, kitchen staff, production workers)
  • Willingness to conduct fieldwork and visit multiple business locations (if needed)
