Accounting Head for Credit & Collection, Makati

We are looking for a strategic and results-driven Head of Credit and Collection to lead our financial recovery efforts. You will be responsible for managing and optimizing the collections process, ensuring timely recovery of premiums while balancing financial goals with a customer-centric approach.

As a critical leader in our Finance department, you will minimize financial losses, improve cash flow, and ensure strict compliance with insurance regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership

Develop and implement a comprehensive collections strategy aligned with organizational financial goals.

Lead, mentor, and motivate the collections team to exceed performance targets.

Establish and monitor KPIs and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of the collections function.

2. Operational Excellence

Oversee end-to-end processes: premium recovery, overdue account management, and dispute resolution.

Analyze performance trends to identify risks and opportunities for process improvement.

Ensure all activities comply with industry regulations, legal requirements, and company policies.

3. Customer & Stakeholder Management

Resolve escalated customer issues and disputes professionally to maintain positive policyholder relationships.

Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service teams to address payment behaviors and concerns.

Develop communication strategies to educate customers on payment options and obligations.

4. Technology & Reporting

Leverage collections software, analytics, and automation to streamline workflows.

Prepare data-driven reports (aging analysis, delinquency rates, recovery rates) for senior management.

Monitor industry benchmarks to stay ahead of market trends.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelors degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field. (CPA or Masters degree is a significant advantage).

Minimum of 10 years of experience in collections or credit management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role specifically within the Insurance Industry.

Deep understanding of general insurance products, premium billing, and regulatory compliance.

Exceptional negotiation, analytical problem-solving, and communication skills.
