Senior Accountant, Makati

Location: Makati and Quezon City

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and file tax returns (income tax, VAT, withholding tax, and other statutory taxes)
• Ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulatory requirements (e.g., BIR rules and deadlines)
• Maintain accurate tax records, schedules, and supporting documents
• Compute tax provisions, accruals, and deferred taxes
• Assist in tax audits, assessments, and examinations
• Coordinate with external auditors, consultants, and tax authorities
• Reconcile tax-related accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Monitor updates in tax laws and assess their impact on the company
• Support tax planning initiatives to improve tax efficiency
• Prepare tax reports and summaries for management

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field
• At least 13 years of experience in tax accounting, audit, or public accounting

(Fresh graduates may be considered for junior roles)

• Strong knowledge of tax compliance and regulations
• Familiarity with eBIRForms
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Good communication and time management abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines

Preferred / Additional Skills (Optional)

• Experience handling BIR audits and tax assessments
• Background in audit firms or tax advisory
• Strong documentation and reporting skills
