Junior Accountant (CPA - Hybrid), Makati

The General Accountant will serve as a key member of the FSD Manila Support Unit, reporting directly to the Accounting Supervisor. This role plays an integral part in the finance and administrative team, providing critical support to both the head office and project operations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. It requires close coordination with the head office, field offices, and various internal departments within FSD, including HR, procurement, payments, and the Risk Fund.

• Record financial transactions in the computerized accounting system.
• Generate account balances and perform analysis of transaction details.
• Process payments, maintain proper filing, and archive supporting documents.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial reports for submission to the head office.
• Consolidate and review monthly financial reports from field offices, including budget vs. actual expenses, ensuring timely submission to meet donor deadlines.
• Assist in the preparation and review of budgets for proposal submissions.
• Prepare and review financial forecasts as required.
• Participate in internal audits, external audits, and expenditure verifications for projects; assist in addressing and resolving audit findings.
• Ensure that internal controls are effectively implemented across all areas of financial management.
• Perform other related duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness to the organizations evolving needs.

• Bachelors degree in Accounting. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification preferred. Newly CPA board passers may apply.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• High English proficiency.
