Design Engineer (Telecom), Makati

The Design Engineer Telecom (RF & Tower Maintenance) is responsible for designing, optimizing, and maintaining RF systems and telecom tower infrastructure to ensure reliable network performance and service quality. This role involves conducting RF analysis, preparing technical designs, overseeing tower structural assessments, and coordinating maintenance activities to support operational efficiency and safety compliance.

RF Design & Optimization

• Develop and optimize RF network designs, including coverage planning, frequency assignments, and link budgets.
• Analyze network performance data and implement improvements to enhance signal quality and capacity.
• Conduct interference analysis and propose effective mitigation solutions.
• Prepare technical documentation, drawings, and reports related to RF designs.

Tower and Infrastructure Maintenance

• Oversee routine and preventive maintenance of telecom towers, antennas, and related infrastructure.
• Conduct structural inspections to ensure tower integrity, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Coordinate tower repair activities and supervise technical teams during on-site work.
• Maintain accurate records of tower conditions, maintenance schedules, and inspection outcomes.

Project Coordination

• Work closely with project managers, contractors, and field teams to ensure seamless execution of telecom infrastructure projects.
• Provide technical guidance during installation, upgrades, and commissioning of RF equipment.
• Support the procurement of materials and equipment by preparing technical specifications.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure all RF designs and tower maintenance activities comply with local regulations, engineering standards, and industry best practices.
• Promote and enforce safety protocols during tower work and field operations.

• Bachelors degree in Electronics, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 25 years experience in RF engineering, telecom design, or tower maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of RF planning tools, propagation models, and network optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with tower structural standards, safety procedures, and maintenance methodologies.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, GIS tools, and RF design software (e.g., Atoll, Pathloss).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel and perform fieldwork when required.
