Dining Cashier (SM North, Edsa), Makati

The Dining Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth payment transactions in a dining or food service environment. This role involves handling cash and electronic payments accurately, assisting guests with orders, and maintaining a clean, organized cashier and dining area. The Dining Cashier supports overall restaurant operations by promoting efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, efficient service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate the cash register or POS system to process orders, payments, and receipts accurately.
• Handle cash, credit/debit cards, vouchers, and mobile payments in compliance with company procedures.
• Ensure accurate pricing and order entry for all menu items.
• Provide information about menu items, promotions, and specials when requested.
• Assist in packaging takeout orders and coordinating with kitchen or serving staff for timely service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the cashier station and dining area.
• Balance cash drawers and prepare daily sales reports or reconciliations at the end of shifts.
• Address and resolve customer inquiries or complaints courteously and professionally.
• Support other dining or kitchen staff during peak hours as needed.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards set by the company and local regulations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Previous experience as a cashier, dining attendant, or food service worker is an advantage.
• Basic math and cash-handling accuracy skills.
• Proficiency in POS systems and modern payment methods.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and honesty.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices is a plus.
