Planning and Coordination

Develop and execute transportation strategies aligned with organizational goals. 

Plan and schedule daily and weekly routes for optimal efficiency. 

Coordinate with staff, drivers and other stakeholders. 

Manage the dispatch of trucks and monitor trip progress. 

Operational Management

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the trucking fleet. 

Monitor transportation costs 

Manage and resolve any operational issues or delays. 

Fleet Management

Maintain and schedule maintenance for transportation vehicles. 

Ensure all vehicles comply with safety standards. 

Track vehicle maintenance and repair needs. 

Compliance and Safety

Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and company policies. 

Implement and maintain safety procedures for drivers and equipment. 

Conduct safety audits and training sessions. 

Financial Management

Develop and manage transportation budgets. 

Monitor and report on transportation expenses. 

Team Leadership

Supervise and mentor transportation staff. 

Foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement. 

Communication

Communicate effectively with drivers, stakeholders, and management. 

Prepare and present regular reports on transportation performance. 

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety procedures.

Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.

Proficiency in transportation management systems and software.

Experience in logistics, supply chain, or fleet management. 

Bachelors degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or fleet management.

Experience in waste management and sanitary landfill is an advantage
