Mechanical Engineer, Leyte

Main aim of job

• Supports the Operations planning, coordinating, and supervising maintenance activities. Ensures compliance with safety standards, equipment high performance and cost-effective maintenance strategies.
• Ensure maintenance Plans aligns with Production schedules to minimize disruption and downtime.

Specific duties and responsibilities

1. Maintenance Planning & Scheduling and Coordinate with production teams to minimize disruptions during maintenance. Ensure timely execution of planned maintenance activities.
2. Oversee maintenance engineer and technicians and ensure proper task allocation.
3. Provide training and guidance to maintenance staff on best practices.Monitor team performance and address skill gaps.
4. Equipment Performance Metrics (OEE and Downtime) and Identify recurring issues and implement corrective actions.
5. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability.
6. Spare Parts & Inventory Management
7. Assist in preparing maintenance budgets and Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
8. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, downtime, and costs. And Support root cause analysis for major breakdowns.
9. Compliance & Safety

Specialized knowledge and skills

• Minimum 1 to 2 years working/training experience as Equipment Maintenance in Manufacturing Environment
• Knowledgeable in Equipment Maintenance, Trouble shooting, setup, proficient in using Microsoft Office
• Knowledgeable Equipment KPI Monitoring and Problem-Solving Techniques (OEE, 8D, etc)
• Familiarity with Spare Parts and Inventory Management
• Vendor & Contractor Coordination
• General knowledge of industrial equipment maintenance and troubleshooting (Auto/Semi-Auto Machines, Machining, Etc.)

What We're Looking For

• Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical /Electrical or Equivalent)
• With at least one - two (1-2) years and above experience in Manufacturing (Assembly, Machining, Cleaning)
• Machine trouble shooting, setup, proficient in using Microsoft Office
• Able to analyze and evaluate data in order to find ways to improve efficiency and quality.
